Designed to unlock expanded USB connectivity within Lantronix SLC 8000 environments, the Lantronix 16 Device Port USB I/O Module is a compact, reliable expansion card that opens new possibilities for data capture, device control, and automation. This 16-port USB I/O card is purpose-built to integrate with the SLC 8000 system, providing a dense row of USB ports that can be mapped to sensors, actuators, peripherals, and measurement instruments. Whether you are building a scalable industrial automation setup, performing exhaustive data logging for R&D, or enabling remote monitoring across multiple points, this module delivers consistent performance, rugged reliability, and straightforward configuration. With Lantronix electronics heritage, you gain a trusted companion for expanding USB I/O without sacrificing system stability or manageability. The module is designed for environments where space is at a premium but the demand for real-time USB I/O is high, delivering a practical solution for engineers, technicians, and IT professionals who require flexible data acquisition and closed-loop control.

  • 16-port USB I/O expansion for versatile control and data collection. Each of the 16 ports operates as an independent input or output channel, allowing you to monitor digital signals from sensors, actuate relays, or read device states in real time. The high port density reduces wiring complexity and helps shorten deployment timelines on crowded factory floors or busy test benches. With dedicated port-level configuration on the SLC 8000, you can route events, thresholds, and triggers directly to your automation software, enabling responsive control loops, precise timing, and robust data logging. This dense I/O capability is ideal for multi-sensor environments, batch processing, and scenarios where multiple devices must be polled or controlled concurrently. The flexible port mapping also supports scalable growth, so you can start with a subset and broaden your I/O footprint as your system expands.
  • Seamless integration with SLC 8000 for centralized management. Built for compatibility with Lantronix’s SLC 8000 platform, this USB I/O module slides into the existing management framework without requiring major architectural changes. You can manage the 16 USB channels from the same console you use for other Lantronix devices, enabling centralized monitoring, logging, and event-driven automation. The module supports standard USB signaling, which means you can connect widely used USB sensors, PLCs, measurement instruments, and control devices. Its design emphasizes reliability and predictable performance, so you can deploy it across multiple production lines or test benches with confidence that behavior remains consistent across firmware updates and environmental changes.
  • Plug-and-play and straightforward configuration for rapid deployment. The product is designed to minimize installation time and avoid complex driver stacks. Connect the module to the SLC 8000 system via the appropriate interface, power up, and let the host controller enumerate the USB ports automatically in most environments. From there, you can assign each port to a specific input or output role through the SLC 8000 management interface, set default states, debounce times for noisy signals, and implement simple or sophisticated automation rules. If software provided by Lantronix is installed, you gain additional scripting and monitoring capabilities that simplify long-term maintenance and provide a proactive view of USB I/O health across your deployment.
  • Durable, compact, industrial-grade design for challenging environments. This I/O module is built to withstand the rigors of industrial use, with a compact form factor that fits neatly into crowded rack spaces, enclosures, or panel mounts. The connector interfaces are designed for secure, vibration-resistant mounting, which helps maintain consistent connections in environments subject to movement or temperature fluctuations. Its metal housing and shielding reduce EMI concerns and improve signal integrity when several USB lines run in parallel. The product is engineered for reliability in harsh conditions, making it suitable for manufacturing floors, clean rooms, field deployments, and data centers that require robust USB I/O expansion.
  • Ideal use cases across automation, data logging, and remote monitoring. On a manufacturing floor, you can gather real-time status from multiple machines, trigger maintenance events, and automate startup/shutdown sequences with precise timing. In research labs, it enables synchronized data capture from numerous sensors and instruments, supporting experiments that demand high-resolution timestamps and correlated measurements. In field deployments or remote sites, the module extends USB sensor networks, provides status signals to SCADA systems, and enhances visibility into complex processes without overhauling existing infrastructure. These versatile applications highlight the module’s value as a scalable, cost-effective USB I/O expansion solution.

how to install Lantronix 16 Device Port USB I/O Module

  • Power down the SLC 8000 system and disconnect it from the power source to prevent any electrostatic or electrical issues during installation.
  • Identify the correct interface or expansion slot on the SLC 8000 where the Lantronix 16-port USB I/O module will be connected. Verify compatibility with your hardware revision before proceeding.
  • Mount the USB I/O module securely in its designated slot or chassis area. Use any included mounting screws or latches to ensure a vibration-resistant connection that will remain stable under normal operational conditions.
  • Reconnect power and boot the SLC 8000 system. Allow the platform to enumerate the new USB I/O module. If prompted by the management interface, confirm the detection and initialize the ports for configuration.
  • Open the SLC 8000 management console and map each of the 16 USB ports to the desired inputs or outputs. Configure default states, debounce settings, and any automation rules or event-driven actions you plan to deploy. Validate connectivity by testing each port with representative sensors or actuators before placing the system into production.

amazing
Format: Kindle
Knot the Bride was a fantastic read! The characters were all amazing and well-developed. It was easy to like them all. Sophia, Luca, Nick, and Gavin were all perfect for each other. It was such a charming story that had me hooked the entire time. I did wish there were POVs from Luca, Nick, and Gavin but it was still an amazing book without it. I am excited to read the next book in the Willowside Omegaverse series! This is definitely a must-read for fans of omegaverse romance!. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

3 Star Read,
Format: Kindle
This book wasn't bad, but wasn't my cup of tea. It's highly disappointing because the storyline is so original. There is no real conflict or resolution, so the entire thing feels flat. As a lover of omegaverse books, I know there is a ton of variety out there, and ov is really up to the author. But this one is weird. Omegas have multiple scent glands all over their bodies and go into week long heats every month. Alphas have knots in the middle of their shaft instead of the base, and the knot doesn't always swell, no explanation of when or why. It doesn't engage at all when the mouth is in play. I also didn't enjoy the author's writing style. Each paragraph is only 1 or 2 sentences long, and the entire book reads very stacato. The conversations are stiff and unnatural feeling. Everything is very repetitive, both in word choice and in thought. The same thing is repeated 3 or 4 times over a single page, multiple times over. I ended up doing so much skimming. The first 50% of the book is all slow burn, and the last 50% is almost straight mediocre spice. This wouldn't have been all bad if the grammar and spelling errors didn't start at the exact same time. Tongue is repeatedly misspelled in the middle of the spice.

Cozy Omegaverse
Format: Kindle
This is the true definition of Cozy Omegaverse. LA wedding coordinator meets her pack at the location for a couple’s destination wedding. Low angst because they are scent matched high heat with heats and knots. Everything you love about this genre with very little anxiety. Simply a fun experience to read and a book I will comeback to when I’m in a slump. I simply love reading this book

Cute Omegaverse story
Format: Kindle
3.75 stars and 2 for spice. Adorable Omegaverse story about a wedding planner who has to go to a small town to plan a wedding for a movie star. While there, she meets her pack. This covers her struggles of not living there but trying to keep her relationship going with her 3 Alphas. It's a quick read and cute, so I recommend it for people who like light-hearted RH stories.

real good
Format: Kindle
This was a solid read for the ABO universe. The characters are great. The smut scenes were well written. And the town is so cute I want to go there. It didn’t have much character development it just felt like I was getting to the characters as they were getting to know each other.
